What We Do

We are the local hub for community impact.

United Way connects individuals, businesses, and volunteers with trusted nonprofit partners working across Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties. By seeing the full picture of community needs, we help resources move where they’re needed most, efficiently, locally, and with accountability.

We don’t do this work alone. We make it possible for others to do it better.

A United Legacy

United Way has been part of Cattaraugus County since 1922 and Allegany County since 1958. For generations, local people have come together through United Way to support education, financial stability, and healthy lives.

That history matters – not because of how long we’ve existed, but because of the trust it’s built.

Today, as the United Way of Cattaraugus & Allegany Counties, we are united in purpose. We’re strengthening partnerships and bringing people together to turn care into action.

Local Commitment

Raised here. Stays here.

Every dollar given through United Way stays in Cattaraugus and Allegany Counties, supporting local nonprofits and the 1 in 4 community members they serve.

When families face challenges, United Way helps make sure the right support is there at the right time: closing the gaps and creating opportunities.
