United Way, Alfred State College Collaborate on Student Employment/Volunteer Fair September 2

United Way of Cattaraugus & Allegany Counties (UWCAC), in partnership with Alfred State College, is shining a light on local volunteer opportunities at an employment/volunteer fair on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alfred State College Student Leadership Center.
This event, hosted by the college’s Center for Civic Leadership and Career Development department, invites students to explore employment and volunteer opportunities with local organizations.
With help from UWCAC, multiple nonprofit organizations will be on-site for students to meet nonprofit representatives, learn about different ways to get involved, and find a volunteer opportunity that fits their interests, skills, and availability.
“Donating time and talent, at any age and any stage of life, is just as beneficial to a volunteer as it is to a nonprofit,” said Susan McAuley, UWCAC executive director. “There are so many opportunities for Alfred State College students to hone and share their skills, and make new connections, while serving in the community off campus.”
